The materials and construction on this jacket are fantastic. It's a soft, thin but warm fleece. The construction is great. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the fit. I found it a little short in the torso (hits closer to the waist than the hips) and the sleeves are just barely long enough. For warmth, I'd like the sleeves to hit a little past the wrist. The torso was a little wide, but fit fine.
Overall a great jacket, love the materials and it would be a favorite if the fit were a little different.

I would recommend this product.

A perfect lightweight fleece jacket.

This jacket is a perfect weight to wear underneath a shell or on its own as a light weight jacket. It is very comfortable - great fleece fabric! The only complaint is that the arms are far too short. I purchased a size small, and while the rest of the jacket fits perfectly, the arms are a bit of a nuisance. Otherwise, it is perfect!

MY LOVELY FLEECE JACKET

I love almost everything about this jacket. This is my first fleece jacket ever owning. I love the color that i chose. I live in detroit so i where my pyxis jacket under my northface coat and by time i get to work and school I am hot. Only thing i dislike about this jacket is that when i where black pants, the blue fleece get all over, everywhere on them..

Awesome Jacket

I bought this jacket as a Christmas gift for my 15 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She loves how soft and plush it is. It's so lightweight it's hard to believe how warm it keeps you. I would definitely recommend this jacket and I have no doubts that I will be buying more in the future.

Arms run short

Usually, Mountain Hardwear fits me better than similar brands, but this jacket has short arms. Unfortunately, I had already torn off the tag, trusting that it would fit as well as my other Mountain Hardwear jackets. Too bad, because now I have a jacket that I wish I could exchange. . .

I LOVE the Pyxis jacket!

It is not often that I find a piece of clothing that I love so much that I need to buy a backup. With this jacket, I bought not just one backup, but two! That is how much I love this. My original one is Seafrost. Then I bought another Seafrost (my favorite color) and a Violet Storm. These jackets are so cozy, I call it my "Care Bear Jacket." People will want to hug you when you wear this. I wear an extra small in most things but I liked the small better in this. Obviously I highly recommend it.

Pyxis Jacket

I loved the Pyxis jacket so much I bought 3 of them in different colors. The fit is fantastic, not too sporty looking and the colors are gorgeous. I live in these jackets in the Canadian winters and wear one of them every day. They're an excellent substitute for a wool or cotton sweater--much more versatile and warm.

I needed a new warm fleece jacket and liked the sound of this one. I've been very pleased with it and wear it constantly. It's wonderfully soft and does a lot to trap heat and block wind. I haven't been out for extended periods in it yet, but I have ridden bikes, snowball fought, and walked a lot in 20-40 degree weather and have stayed comfortable, even with just a tshirt under and sometimes my rainjacket over.

The fleece is incredibly soft! The fit and look while wearing it is beautiful. The fleece is a lot thinner than i expected, but I still love it. I wore it to Boston MA, during a snow storm, under my jacket and it was great. Just keep in mind it is thin, and it does keep you unexpectedly warm for a thin fleece, but in cold cold weather make sure you have something thicker. Overall, very happy with my purchase and def recommend it!

Lengths are off, width is fine

I found this jacket unusually short (by about 3 inches!) in the arms, and also a bit short in torso length. The width was perfect. I am an XS, of average height (5'6") and do not have long limbs. The S ends up being a bit too wide.

The espresso color is gorgeous, and the jacket is super soft and luxe. Too bad it doesn't fit right!

This is so comfortable, I may have to get a second. I had a hard time picking just one color anyway. I tend to keep my heat turned down low and wear sweaters inside during the winter months. I work from home so this will be perfect. It's also so good looking, I can wear it our with a shell and when I'm indoors, I'm styling.

So soft and comfortable inside and out. Quite warm for the lightness. I bought violet storm and I'm not a big color person but it's beautiful - strong but subtle at the same time. Thanks to the other reviewer who mentioned this color as I wouldn't have picked it otherwise.

so warm and so soft!

I bought the pyxis jacket for my teenage daughter (violet storm), and we both fell in love with it immediately, so much so that I bought another jacket for myself (jewel). Now my husband wants one too :-) It fits perfectly (M, size 8) and it is nicely tailored so it isn't bulky anywhere. The jewel blue is gorgeous - a little deeper and much more vibrant than I see on my computer. Also, it is light and compressible, a very cozy jacket to have on backpacking trips. Love Mountain Hardware products - they keep getting better and better!

I initially got the bramble which appeared different than I had expected. I exchanged it for the seafrost which I liked a lot more. Great, light jacket.

Awesome Jacket

This is the softest jacket I have ever had (next to the monkey jacket which I love but is a lot warmer than this one and used for colder weather). We have bought a bunch of items from your website in the last 2 months and LOVE everyone of them. They are definitely worth the money. Thanks for keeping us all warm Mountain Hardwear!

Great pick

I was looking for a fleece that fit nicely and outlined my body well but that was comfortable and warm. This fleece fits perfectly, is so soft, and even though it looks thin, it is surprisingly very warm. I can wear it as a stand alone jacket and I don't even feel the wind through it. On very cold days, below 30 degrees, it serves as a perfect base layer. Love it!

I love this jacket

Perfect for layering under a hardshell on colder days or stands alone just fine on a chilly fall day. This jacket is super soft, inside and out. Perfect for a casual afternoon outside.
I was always told that if you find something you love you should by two. I think I might do that.

the arms are too short!

This jacket is nearly perfect....soft, comfortable, lightweight. A great layer in winter, a nice 'sweatshirt' in summer. Pretty feminine lines and shape too. But the darned arms are too short! I'm bummed. They need atleast another 3/4" fabric. I wish it had a similar cuff to the mistral hoody.
