I should start by saying that typically I wear a small, but in all things Mountain Hardwear I wear and XS (5'2" - 125#), so I guess you could say they run a little bit big. The XS fit perfectly, I love the lenght of the sleeves and the hot rod color is a beautiful red/orange shade. I get compliments every time I wear it. It is my first down jacket so I was a little anxious about how light it was but I have been toasty warm since I purchased it. Excellent protection against the wind and wet snow. Couldn't have asked for a better jacket for these Montana winters.

I am very happy with the jacket I received. The fit is very feminine and more stylish then many similar jackets. I went with XS when I normally might where a small. I don't wear heavy clothes under. It is super light weight but very warm and water resistant.

I couldn't be happier with the fit and function of this jacket. I'm 5'4" about 125 lbs, broad shoulders from climbing with no real hips and the small has a very flattering fit. I especially like that the sleeves are a little on the long side, I can wear it while bouldering and not worry about the sleeves riding up. The hood fits great too, even without a drawcord. It's definitely more in the down sweater category than jacket. I was surprised by how thin it is, but it seems plenty warm so far in 20-40 deg temps over a midweight base layer and fleece vest. My only complaint is that the colors shown on the website are off. Dewberry is a lot pinker and brighter than the muted lavender shown.

I had previously tried on a size M that a friend had purchased which was definitely too big. The small fits great. still able to layer it with other articles of clothing. I highly recommend this jacket.

I live in Oregon and bought this jacket for winter wear under a waterproof shell. I just took it on a trip where temperatures varied between 35-65 and I was comfortable in the jacket regardless of the temperature. I did find that when it's super windy, a shell or over layer may be helpful as the fabric of the jacket doesn't withstand crazy wind gusts, but a great every day coat for wearing around town as well as for outdoor adventures (such as a full day of hiking and bird watching). The color is much more vibrant than it appears on my computer, a hot red more than a brick red. The men's jacket is closer to the color here.

Lovely, warm, low profile etc. But...be aware that "Hot Rod" is bright orange (it looked almost safety orange to me) outside, and an even more orangey light orange inside. I returned it and got the black.

Love, love, love this jacket. The color looks a little red on-line, but it is actually more orange. Nice lightweight, but keeps me warm. The perfect jacket.

Over all the jacket was really nice. Soft ,somewhat fitted and comfortable. I decided to return it because I wanted it to be a little longer, something that would fall a little lower on my hips. The jacket felt a little thin. perfect for layering but not enough for a super cold day. Over all I would recommend this jacket for any one who wants a light down jacket to throw on to run around town or where on a under your ski jacket.

The first thing I thought of when I put this jacket on was how light it is. It's like being wrapped in a light fluffy warm cloud. The quality of the jacket is superior to any light weight down jacket I've ever had. The hood keeps the cold air out.

This is a great! Super light and comfy. It will be perfect alone or under a shell. I am excited for the weather to cool down so that I can really start putting it to use.

I ordered this off the website...in the picture, as you can see for yourself, it looks like a rusty red/orange with a yellowish inner. When it arrived it is actually fire-engine red with a floresent orange inner. Not what I was looking for.

I love this jacket! I got it in dewberry and i was glad to see that the color was much more vibrant in person. Its lite, soft and wonderful. I'm 5'9", 150 lbs (ordered a medium) and i was excited to see that the torso and sleeves are long and fitted. Can't wait to test it against the elements this winter!

I love the jacket. Positives: the jacket is comfortable at a huuuge range of temperatures. I've worn it when it's a little cool and breezy outside while riding a bike and did not feel too warm. I've also worn it when it was quite a bit colder and it kept me warm. It hasn't snowed since I've had the jacket so I'll have to wait and see how it handles below freezing temps. Furthermore, the jacket is super lightweight, extremely compressible, and very cute. Also, I have very long arms (I'm 5'10) and the length of the sleeves on this jacket are more than long enough for me, which is very rare. Negatives: the only negative I have is that the sizing is a little off. I bought the jacket online and assumed the large would fit well as I typically wear a large. It's a little big and loose but not so big and loose that I'd want to trade it in for a medium. Overall, my new favorite.
