Nice pants!

I am tall and thin -- 5'11" and 31" waist. The regular small fits me okay -- waist is snug, and legs are just long enough with nordic ski boots. I'm still able to tuck two or three thin layers into the waistband.

They appear to be very well made. The fabric is fairly light and thin and stretches. They have a very tailored look, which means they are not baggy and fit well. Because they stretch, there is no issue with comfort or movement.

I use these for cold weather Nordic skate skiing. In warmer weather, I wear some lightweight Swix pants.

I like these pants. They have good stretch. I wish I would have gotten them a bit bigger. Great pant for climbing. The material dries quickly if you get rained on. I would use these pants in the spring time for skiing. Great for hiking and cold approaches. A great layer to have in your collection.

These pants are great, and fit true to size for a soft shell layer. I can put my layers on underneath them and they don't end up looking like tights. The buckle on the internal belt is simple,and it works. The material is definitely soft shell, but they're even more comfortable than a lot of cotton pants that I own. I'm definitely happy with them and can't wait to beat them up for years to come!

The quality you would expect, but the do run small

Just got the tanglewoods to replace my old Patagonia's. Very nice pants, great quality, but as others have said they do run small.
I am 5'10' 170 your standard 33/34 and these are too tight in the thighs, hips and waist. so go bigger than you want.
I haven't tried the large yet,. but it is in the mail.

These are gonna be great for hiking, backpacking, and trekking all over. they however do run a little small if you ask me i would order a size larger than what the sizing chart says.

Great all around climbing pant

Good fit, easy to move in even during extreme high stepping. Impervious to rock damage so far. Pretty warm for me, would need to dip into the 50's at least during moderate activity (rock climbing) to avoid sweating too much and the 40's for anything aerobic like hiking or mountaineering. Would be fine during general summer mountaineering. High point for me is the durability for sure.

These are very similar to the Winter Wander pant, which I love. I suppose they are just a tad bit thinner, but still appear to be very water shedding and windproof. They have limited pocket space, as described. It would be nice to have pockets similar to the Winter Wander pant, hence the 4 star rating. These pants are tough, very water resistant, wind proof, and have good stretch. They are comfortable to wear and are very well constructed. At the end of the day, if I had to have these pants or the Winter Wander pant, I would go with Winter Wander over the Tanglewood.

Appropriate weight pant for the fall-winter or winter-spring shoulder seasons. Love all the stretch! A little snug in the butt region, but the waist and length are right on. I'm 6'0" 175 athletic build, normally a 32x34 jean, and the Medium fit great. My only peeve is that the suspender loops are sort of rigid, and annoyingly rub against bare skin, so tucking in a shirt is necessary. When you do that, the loops are sticking straight up, and don't look so cool.

Men's Tanglewood Pant

I will say that right out of the box, my first impression was, oh, I hope this is not too small. I am 5'9", 155 lbs. I typically wear 31/32 in pants. These pants were true to size, but the cut was very athletic, more on the European boy pants in how closely they fit. Good articulation, no real tight spots when walking around. The feel is nice, lines are good, and the seams dont rub or anything. The front zipper has a piece of accessory cord that had to go right away since it doesnt stay tucked in. The pockets are good if you all you're carring is a set of car keys and an iPhone. Forget about putting your hands in there. No back pocket, not sure why. The cuffs have the hidden elastic band in them, so hidden, it makes it awkward to work, and I am still not sure as to why you need the elastic cuffs, I guess if you didnt want to wear gaiters, but anyway. I still like the pants.
