Seems quality but it is VERY tight in the armpits. chest and shoulders are also tight. seems a little short as well. Im 6'1" 225lbs

I purchased the Brono Jacket a couple weeks ago and it has exceeded my expectations. It is a lightweight soft-shell that works great as a shell and insulation layer. I used it as a insulation layer while skiing last Friday. Kept me warm and dry while skiing hard all day when the mountain temperature was around freezing. I am 6’-1” with a slender body type, large fit perfect. It also looks stylish! Not afraid to wear it out on the town.
I would recommend this product.

I'm very happy with this jacket. It is lightweight, good looking, and surprisingly warm for its size. I don't like thick / bulky jackets and the Brono jacket is just right for me. I'm 5'10" and 175 lbs. The large size fits me well. I like the jacket so much I got two of them - one in jungle green and one in black. I also own a Mountain Hardwear Alchemy jacket which I like a lot and have had for around 4 years. The Brono jacket feels a little bit warmer than the Alchemy.
I would recommend this product.

This jacket replaced my Synchro softshell. It is far more windproof. The Synchro was nice but the Brono is way better. Plus it looks sharper. Say what you want, but if a jacket does not look good, what is the point. Rain beads right off. It layers well with fleece or wool sweaters underneath and a hardshell if the weather turns truly nasty.
I would recommend this product.

This jacket is my first MHW one and I love it, nice flex, athletic fit, primary use for me is as a wind barrier whilst backcounty skiing. Great on the uptrack as it breaths well. It is an athletic fit for its size, I am 6'1" and 200pounds and L lets me get only a couple of layers on beneath, but that's perfect for me.
I would recommend this product.

Great Jacket

I purchased this jacket as an in-between jacket for temperatures from 20-40. This jacket performs great and blocks the wind excellently. It is very easy to move in and fits very comfortably. The sleeves are cut a little high, so I usually have to pull my sleeves down inside the jacket since they get bunched.

I purchased this jacket as a cool-weather option for those Denver days when the temperatures are in the 30s/40s. To that end, it performs well. The wind-resistance also aids on those blustery outings. Don’t count on this jacket for winter warmth, more as a barrier against the cold and wind. I love it.
My sole criticism is the high arm placement of the sleeves. I have to adjust my shirt every time. Once on, no issues. The tigher fit across the shoulders work best with a simple tee underneath, but I could get away with a light sweater.
I recommend this jacket and also hope that MH opens up the sleeves at the shoulder.

great jacket

i love the jacket but it fits a little tight on my shoulders. i'm 5'10'' 165 and can only wear 2 layers under the jacket or else it won't fit comfortably.

Nice quality jacket but over priced. Also a little too light weight to keep you warm. I would recommend a litter more fleece in the lining and pit zips to make this jacket worth the asking price.

Your Grab-Every-Day Soft Shell

I'm 6'0", 180 lb., athletic build. Sleeves and back length perfect. A little tight across the upper back, but do-able. Soft shell material has a 'rip-stop' grid look, its nice. Wish the logos were a little more subtle. I just took a sharpie and made them black (jacket is black too). Stretchy cuff within a cuff is great. They keep out the cold, but don't get hung up around my watch. I like the low side pockets as I'm usually not wearing a pack belt or harness. Stayed dry in the rain, but I wasn't out there for too long. Overall, very nice, well-made, comfortable spring/fall jacket. Everything you need for your grab every day soft shell and nothing you don't.

Had to send back the first jacket back do to size, sizing chart probaly is based on smaller person showed my size as a Large but im 6'1" 205, little bummmed had to pay shipping to send back. overall the jacket performs great in harsh weather with layers to help.

Great Jacket

I bought this jacket to replace an old fleece and it is now my new favorite. My L fits great but be warned that they do run a bit snug, especially in the armpits. Anything more than a very light sweater underneath and it is too tight in there. The "Butter Jersey" cuffs are just delicious.

The Brono

The Brono is a great jacket but the 2XL I purchased runs a bit small. If you work out and have any muscle definition in your chest or shoulders, it will be a tight fit on you. Also I initially purchased it because a review I read indicated that you can wear a fleece underneath the Brono for added warmth etc., clearly not the case. However worn alone in somewhat colder temperatures it is a great jacket and looks really sharp!

Best Soft Shell Jacket!!

This is my second Mountain Hardwear Soft Shell Jacket! I had my last one for 5-6 years and it is still staying strong! I wanted a different color that my other soft shell so I went for another soft shell. I love the versatility of a soft shell jacket. I have even been on my motorcycle going 100 and I didn't feel any wind coming through my jacket. I will continue to buy Mountain Hardwear Jackets!

Lightweight (need warm clothes under) and most importantly, wind proof. I'm new to Chicago from Oregon and don't function well in cold weather but love the outdoors. I live by the lake and am outside as much as possible but the wind is serious and I hate it. This jacket is allowing me to continue outdoor activities through the winter months. Love it!!

Mountain Hardwear- You guys have hit a home run with the Brono! I love it. I think you just delivered my all time favorite jacket I have ever owned. The delivery was super quick (even to Iraq,5 days). The jacket fits great and is not tight around the chest like some I have tried in the past. I love the inner fleece lining in the pockets also, great touch. One thing and it is just personal preference, the inner pockets are a little deep so you will have to go fishing for those keys or Ipod at the bottom of the jacket(inside pockets of the jacket). I strongly recommend the Brono if you are looking for a nice all weather jacket that cuts the wind and rain, also there is still room to fit a fleece if you need the extra warmth on a cold day. Thank you again for coming through for me Mountain Hard Wear.
