I recreate and work in one of the harshest environments inhabited by man. These pants are excpetional. They will keep you warm in temperatures of -50 with little activity. On other websites I have seen multiple comments about them being too warm. For those less intelligent individuals who have bought the pants and stated they were too warm, you need to move someplace colder ans stop whining about warm temps. When its -50 and you are 100 miles from civiliazation with no chance of rescue if something goes wrong, believe me you would be glad to have them. I would give these 10 stars if I could.

The single best investment I made this year. Warm and light. It's like wearing a comfortable sleeping bag. Spent a week of camping in both rain and snow, real ugly weather for fall. My friends poked fun at first at how over kill these pants are, but the SL Conduit material is the stuff dreams are made of! I fully expected it to let in moister after a few hours of slushy rain, but I was pleasantly surprised. By trips end my friends wanted a pair of their own. They were the difference between a miserable week and a comfortable adventure. However, I wish the suspenders were more comfortable. after a week in these pants my shoulders were ready for a break.

Pros: EXTREMELY WARM, durable,well constructed, great zippers, decent price for such a great product

Cons: a little to warm.... guess i need to just go somewhere colder. suspenders could be a little better, these are only used in mountaineering for the most part, so great suspenders would be very helpful.

Did not bring them to aconcagua because they were a little to warm for the weather we would be encountering, and i did not want to carry the extra weight. instead i brought the compressor pants, they worked great.
